This Privacy Policy explains what information OHHEYWOW LLC ("OhHeyWow," "we," "us," or "our") collects through OhHeyWow (the "Service"), how we use it, and who we share it with.
1. Information We Collect
We collect:
- Account information: email address, username, display name, bio, and avatar image.
- Date of birth: collected when you create an account, and used to confirm you meet our minimum age of 18. We store the date itself; your age in years, calculated from it, is shown on your public profile. You cannot change your date of birth yourself — contact us if it was entered incorrectly.
- Stream and viewing activity: stream titles and categories you set as a creator; who you follow; and, to calculate live viewer counts, an anonymous session identifier and timestamp while you're watching a stream.
- Payment and payout records: tip amounts, subscription tiers and status, and identifiers issued by our payment processor (Stripe) for your customer and, if you're a creator, connected payout account. We never see or store your full card number — that's handled entirely by Stripe.
- Token balance and transaction history: every token purchase, tip sent or received, referral commission, Community Chest payout and withdrawal on your account, with its amount, date and description. This is a financial ledger, so we keep it indefinitely rather than deleting old entries — it is what disputes, chargebacks and tax records depend on, and it is the record we would need to answer a question about your money months or years later. You can view and export your own history from your wallet.
- Referral relationships: if you signed up through someone's referral link, we record who referred you, and we record the accounts you refer. This is used to route referral commission and is kept for as long as the account exists.
- Delivery addresses: if you buy something a creator has to post to you, we collect the delivery address you type at checkout and we share it with that creator, because they are the one who posts the parcel — we do not handle or ship anything ourselves. It is stored as part of that order and visible only to you and to the seller. We ask for it only when there is something physical to send: a download never asks for an address, and the system refuses to store one against a download.
- Order records: what you bought, from whom, how many, what you paid, and — for something posted to you — whether the seller has marked it sent. Like the token ledger, orders are financial records and are kept rather than deleted.
- Contact form submissions: your name, email, and message, if you use our contact form.
2. How We Use Information
We use this information to:
- Operate and maintain the Service, including your account, streams, follows, and the live-viewer counts shown on the Live page.
- Process tips, subscriptions, token purchases, referral commission, and creator payouts, and keep the ledger those depend on.
- Pass a delivery address to the creator you bought a physical item from, so they can post it to you.
- Respond to messages sent through our contact form.
- Enforce our Terms of Service and content policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Who We Share Information With
With other users. One thing we share is not with a company but with a person: if you buy something a creator has to post to you, that creator is shown the delivery address you gave, because they are the one who sends it. This is the only situation in which we hand your personal information to another account, and it happens only for a physical order you chose to place.
We otherwise share information with the service providers that power OhHeyWow, only as needed for them to provide their service to us:
- Supabase — hosts our database, handles account authentication, and stores uploaded images.
- Stripe — processes tips, subscriptions, and creator payouts, and holds your payment method details.
- Mux — hosts and delivers live video streams.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of OhHeyWow or others.
4. Cookies
We use a session cookie, set by Supabase, to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
5. Your Choices
You can update your profile information at any time while signed in. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, contact us through our contact page— account deletion is currently handled manually on request rather than as a self-serve option in the app.
One exception, so it is not a surprise: we cannot delete your financial transaction history on request. Those records are what a chargeback, a dispute or a tax question is answered from, and they concern money that moved between accounts rather than only your own profile. Closing your account removes it from the Service, but the ledger entries behind past transactions are retained.
6. Children's Privacy
OhHeyWow is an 18+ service. It is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We ask for your date of birth when you create an account and refuse the signup if it shows you are under 18. This is a self-declared check, not identity verification — we do not currently ask for government ID.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete the associated personal information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us through our contact page.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
